The use of monotone paired with red represents the drama genre. The tagline 'we hold the power' presents that this may be a political or revolutionary film, especially when combined with the use of the hand which appears to be voting for something.
Iris uses a piece of technology unknown to the present world to present that the film is of a science-fiction/dystopian genre. The use of turquoise-green in this poster is a connotation of the genre, as this colour is often associated with sci-fi films, especially after the release of the 1979 classic, Alien.
